At Candice Swarts Wildlife Art, every effort is made to ensure original paintings and limited edition prints arrive safely and in pristine condition.
Processing Times
Orders are generally processed and packed within 3–5 business days.
For limited edition prints requiring custom printing, signing, or preparation, please allow 7–10 business days prior to dispatch.
South African Shipping
Domestic deliveries within South Africa are fulfilled via The Courier Guy. Deliveries within Gauteng generally arrive within 1-3 business days after dispatch, while other provinces typically take 3-5 business days.
International Shipping
Worldwide shipping is available through trusted international couriers including DHL and FedEx.
Estimated international delivery times range between 7–14 business days depending on destination and customs processing.
Shipping Fees
Shipping costs are calculated according to the dimensions, weight, and destination of each order. Exact shipping fees will be displayed at checkout before payment is completed.
Packaging
Original paintings are carefully wrapped using acid-free protective materials and securely packaged in rigid boxes designed for fine art transport.
Fine art prints are wrapped in acid-free glassine paper and shipped rolled in wide protective tubes using archival packaging materials. This is standard gallery practice for museum-quality prints and helps minimise the risk of damage during transit.
Upon arrival, prints should be gently removed from the tube and allowed to rest image-side up on a clean surface for several hours before framing.
Customs and Import Duties
International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or clearance fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the collector and are not included in shipping costs.
Incorrect Addresses & Failed Deliveries
Collectors are responsible for providing accurate delivery information. Additional shipping fees may apply if an order must be resent due to incorrect address details or failed delivery attempts.
Damaged or Lost Parcels
In the rare event that an artwork arrives damaged, Candice Swarts Wildlife Art must be contacted within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the damage.
Lost shipments will be investigated with the courier provider before a replacement or refund is issued.
Returns and Exchanges
Shipping costs for returns or exchanges are generally the responsibility of the customer, unless the item was sent in error or arrived damaged. Please refer to our Returns Policy for full details on the process.
